John
Freer
John Freer graduated from Loughborough University (B.Ed with
Creative Design) in 1978. Most recently he has worked in the
School of Art & Design at the Suffolk College, Ipswich.
His
own work is now mainly figurative sculpture concentrating
on the female form to produce hanging pieces or garden sculptures
in plaster, clay, bronze and reconstituted stone.He has work
in private collections in England, America, Czech Republic,
Italy and Saudi Arabia.
The
examples shown here are from casts taken directly from the
body and then moulded in clay, glazed and earthenware fired.
